On 4-20-09 Jak turned 1!! Unbelievable and a little sad but he is a healthy, good looking, sweet little boy and couldn't be more loved! His party turned out great. I made him his own little cake that looked like a block and some cupcakes in ice-cream cones to like ice cream. He had lots of fun and lots of cake! He loves his new toys and is such a little smarty pants!

Walking and Counting
So I have recently started....not a diet but a "lifestyle change". It hasn't been easy though! My doctor told me to do 1200 calories a day and why it may not sound too bad...you would be quite surprised at how easily they add up. I have been keeping a journal and I carry a "Biggest Loser Calorie Guide" which has the calorie amount for almost everything. You just have to do a lot of math to add all the different ingredients together. So I try to stick to my healthy choice frozen dinners that tell me how many calories are there as well as soup and 100 calorie packs. I think I have been doing pretty well...I have been under 1000 for the most part. I have also been walking around the lake at the nearby park with my sister with our bundled up babies or running up and down my stairs. I am feeling pretty good actually but have a very, very long road ahead of me!
Beautiful Boy
My sweet blue eyed boy is growing really fast! He has started to do so many new things. He started to get into everything, which I knew was inevitable. He has decided he actually doesn't like to eat everything but definately wants what I have! Jakoda really wishes he could walk and sometimes I think he just going to stand up and do it. He got his first tooth, on the bottom even though the one on the top has been trying to come thru for a month! He says mama now and with that John for some reason, taught him to say Obama. My favorite things are the fact that he now dances to music thanks to Ellen whom he loves and he is starting to wave. I just love seeing his chubby little fingers go. Jakoda is still just the happiest baby ever and I am truly blessed that he is mine!

Christmas Tree Hunting
We went and got our tree....we don't have a lot of space so I was the big bummer of the day wanting pretty small tree when everyone else wanted a bigger one...John says "it can't be shorter than me" so I lost but we got a just-the-right-size tree. Jordan cut it down himself this year and Jaylee helped carry it.
